The recipe for our Hanson LX models is to take a 1954 (alto) and 1958 (tenor) Selmer Mark VI, strip it down to every single component part, invest in world leading analytical technology to inspect every component, and then build our own version using 21st Century engineering and techniques. What we made is a legend reborn.

Where many have fallen short in their attempts, often producing a mere parody, we have striven to obtain the balance of a distinguished sound with a delicate feel.

Placed side by side amongst a line up of Selmer MKVI’s with logos covered professional players could not identify any discernible difference in tone, production or playability.
