Try our CUSTOM SAXOPHONE BUILDER and build your dream Sax!
Introducing the all new Hanson LX Custom Saxophone, proudly handmade in Marsden, West Yorkshire. The Custom LX not only looks the part thanks to its cusomizable finishes and options, but it plays like an absolute dream – think 1950’s Selmer Mark VI but with all the perks of modern day engineering.
When you pick up a Hanson Custom LX the Saxophone will instantly feel familiar thanks to its consistent and precise keywork that is modelled on that of a Selmer Mark VI. We take extra care to ensure that the Saxophone will not only last you a long time, but continue to feel excellent for many years to come. That’s why for many years our customers have been amazed at the hammering these Saxophones can endure, no amount of gigs is too many for the LX Custom.
The Hanson Custom LX Tenor Saxophone has a warm, and almost vintage tone that is flexible enough to blend into any style of playing or ensemble, whilst still being able to stand out and cut through for those big solos. Players will be impressed by its consistency across the range, whether playing altissimo or at the bottom of the range the notes will sing out. Play this Saxophone next to a vintage Selmer, top of the range Yanagisawa, or any other Saxophone you can think of and prepare to be wowed – time and time again players choose the Hanson! What’s more, you can purchase with the knowledge that you’re buying a Saxophone proudly made here in the UK.
This Custom LX has a lovely look with a hand rubbed raw brass finish with a Silver bell and neck. The bell and neck are made from Solid German Silver and the body is made from Brass.
Take a listen to what Nigel McGill of McGill Music Sax School has to say about the Custom LX in the video at the top of the page.
