Hammerschmidt-Klingson Bb Clarinet

Hammershcmidt-Klingson pride themselves on building the highest quality woodwind instruments and have been doing so since 1873, with each instrument being play tested, tuned and checked personally by a member of the Hammerschmidt family. Hammerschmidt clarinets manage to achieve a rare synthesis of German/Vienese dark tone with Boehm system fingering and because of this are some of the most sought after clarinets out there. This clarinet has been handmade in Germany using first-class, seasoned Grenadilla wood, and it features a very small bore which helps the instrument to produce a rich and focused sound. This clarinet also features a specially designed fully automatic alternate Bb key mechanism, as pictured below, which makes for easier playing whilst making the note sing more truly. This instrument also comes with its original mouthpiece.

This clarinet is in great condition and will be cleaned, play tested and serviced in our workshop to ensure that it plays and feels as good as new when it arrives with you.
